Join Our Team as a Short Term Quality Position in St Charles MI
Pay Rate $20-$22/hr with Weekly pay
This is a short term assignment that will last approximently 3 months. This will be starting in Mid June

Overview
The global Foam business serves the medical device, personal care and cosmetics markets. Our intellectual property, quality manufacturing, innovation, and customizability truly set us apart from the competition.
This position audits product quality using basic hand tools, lab equipment, and visual assessments to ensures compliance to customer standards and documented procedures relating to the manufacturing of finished goods. Additional responsibilities include monitoring/inspecting of incoming products and materials, in-process materials, and finished product, and assistance in maintaining compliance to all governing standards and bodies (i.e. ISO, FDA, GMP) through internal auditing, investigating and resolving customer complaints and audit findings, and participating in corrective/preventive action investigations.
Responsibilities
  • Enters basic information into quality software, databases, tables, workstations.
  • Operates, interprets, and reports results from physical property analyses.
  • Interprets measurement and testing results and compares results with specifications.
  • Professionally interacts with, and coaches (face to face, voice, and electronic) with appropriate internal personnel concerning aspects of the position.
  • Performs inspection/testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods per specific work instructions, test methods, lot acceptances, or other guidance.
  • Approves or rejects materials/products based on the comparison of test results against specifications.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork, labels, and tags to indicate status of product.
  • Maintains records for all testing, calibrations, and retain samples.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Other duties as assigned (procedure updates, equipment calibrations, DI water and air monitoring, QMS audit assistance, etc.)
  • Qualifications
    • Minimum 1 year experience related to manufacturing and quality or a chemistry degree (associate or bachelor's degree)
  • Preferred skills and abilities:
      • Must possess basic mathematical skills and must be able to read a tape measure.
      • Experience with physical property testing
      • Experience writing and/or editing standard operating procedures
      • Detail oriented, but efficient
      • Willingness to professionally escalate issues as appropriate
      • Basic understanding of Microsoft office software.
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills and good professional conduct.
      • Effective problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills
      • Basic computer skills (e-mail, use of mouse/keyboard, ability to progress PC and software knowledge)
      • Ability to identify and report safety concerns and unsafe conditions
      • Ability to interpret standards/policies/practices and report regulatory and systems violations.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Medium Work- Lifting of 50 pounds maximum.
    • Must have good vision up close and the ability to distinguish between colors.
    • Must be able to alternate between sitting and standing and must be able to climb stairs.
