Life Sciences Intellectual Property Associate Attorney AmLaw 50 Opportunity Compensation

$260,000 โ€“ $435,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Life Sciences Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join its Denver office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and other life sciences companies in sophisticated intellectual property matters.

Ideal Background
  • 3โ€“6 years of intellectual property experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience representing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and life sciences companies in complex intellectual property matters
  • Experience with patent portfolio strategy, patent prosecution, due diligence, freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP counseling is preferred
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions, financings, licensing transactions, and other strategic transactions involving intellectual property assets
  • Experience conducting and managing IP due diligence for acquisitions, investments, collaborations, and licensing arrangements
  • Advanced degree or technical background in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, biomedical engineering, immunology, genetics, or a related life sciences discipline is strongly preferred
  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sophisticated matters while working directly with clients and multidisciplinary deal teams
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABAโ€‘accredited law school required
  • Colorado bar admission required or ability to become admitted
