Join Intel as a Facilities Chemical/Gas Technician in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and play an essential role in maintaining our state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced facility systems while contributing to Intel's mission of environmental sustainability and operational excellence.
Shift 6: (nights backend) PM-AM Wed-Sat and alternating Saturday night
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sustaining operational support for Vacuum Pump and Abatement Systems
  • Complete preventive maintenance activities on vacuum pumps, abatement systems, heat exchangers, and support equipment
  • Troubleshoot failed systems to restore operations safely and efficiently
  • Apply knowledge of chemical compatibility for gases and process fluids
  • Manage code compliance issues related to vacuum and abatement infrastructure
  • Assist in developing operational procedures and engineering analysis
  • Complete certification packages for various equipment types

Candidate must be willing to:
  • Work a compressed work week schedule.
  • The schedule will consist of three twelve-hour days in a row followed by a four-day week every other week.
  • Work will be mixed between general facilities (Subfab) area and some cleanroom. Lift up to 25 lbs. 5 time/day. Work will require extended time in breathing protection (APR/SAR) along with full acid gear and/or chemical protection suits (Tyvek). Walk 3-6 miles a day, and/or standing/sitting for 9+ hours a day.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS STEM related OR associate degree STEM and 2+ years with related Chemical and Gas Systems, Vacuum Systems, Industrial Waste, Wastewater Treatment, Facilities Maintenance, or related areas.
  • OR High School Diploma or GED and 2.5+ years related hands-on manufacturing experience including military experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of prior experience in the following areas:
    • Preventive maintenance programs
    • Equipment repair processes.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $72,680.00-120,110.00 USD (Hourly Role)
