Job description

About Ditto:
Ditto is redefining how data moves at the edge. Our mission is to make it seamless for developers to build resilient, real-time applications, regardless of network conditions. Whether you're in a stadium, airplane, or remote military base, Ditto's peer-to-peer sync engine ensures devices stay connected and data stays consistent, even without internet. With more than $145 million in funding and trusted by organizations like Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, and the U.S. military, Ditto powers mission-critical experiences across aviation, retail, travel, hospitality, defense, and more. As a globally distributed, fast-growing startup, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the wide range of perspectives needed to solve the world's hardest connectivity problems.
Role Overview
As the Senior Product Manager for Cloud Database & Integrations, you will own the product roadmap for Ditto's cloud database offering - Ditto Cloud - and all customer data entry points, including connectors, data migrations, and database SLAs. This is a deeply technical, customer-facing role that sits at the intersection of database engineering, data integration strategy, and enterprise customer success. You will define what Ditto does with data at the cloud layer: ingress and egress semantics, replication guarantees, connector reliability, and durability commitments, working directly with customers, field teams, and engineering to ensure Ditto's data layer meets the correctness and reliability bar enterprise customers require.
As a Senior Product Manager, Cloud Database & Integrations, you will:
  • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for Ditto's cloud database, defining how data is stored, queried, and managed to support enterprise-grade operational workloads at scale
  • Own the data flow story for Ditto Cloud - how data moves in, through, and out of the system - including connector ecosystem strategy (CDC, MongoDB, Oracle, and beyond), ingestion patterns, and sync semantics across the edge-to-cloud boundary
  • Define and maintain customer-facing database SLAs covering durability, throughput, latency, and consistency; partner with SRE and engineering to instrument, operationalize, and continuously raise the reliability bar
  • Own the data migration story, enabling customers to adopt Ditto or evolve their data model without data loss or operational disruption
  • Engage directly with enterprise customers - developers and DBAs - to deeply understand workload patterns, integration requirements, and data integrity expectations, and translate those into clear, well-scoped product requirements
  • Serve as the go-to voice on the customer data layer inside engineering, actively shaping design decisions on query performance, data lifecycle, schema guardrails, and correctness tradeoffs
  • Collaborate with GTM and field teams to build scalable enablement assets - connector guides, SLA documentation, migration playbooks - that reduce per-deal friction and build customer confidence in the platform
  • Define success metrics for database reliability, data flow completeness, and connector adoption, and drive accountability against them
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with strong grounding in database systems, distributed systems, or data engineering
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, with direct ownership of a database or data platform product
  • Deep technical foundation in SQL and/or NoSQL database systems - you understand replication, consistency models, indexing tradeoffs, and what "correctness" means in production
  • Experience defining and shipping production-grade data connectors or integration pipelines (CDC, Kafka, ETL, or equivalent)
  • Ability to engage credibly with data engineers and DBAs on architecture decisions, schema design, and data integrity tradeoffs - not to write the code, but to shape decisions through substance
  • Track record of translating ambiguous customer workload patterns into well-reasoned, actionable product requirements
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers on complex data integration requirements, including requirements gathering and solution framing
  • Strong communication skills for presenting to both technical and executive audiences, and for producing clear specs, SLA documentation, and enablement content
  • US-based and authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to travel once a quarter for company meetups and customer engagements
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with eventually consistent or CRDT-based distributed systems
  • Familiarity with edge computing, IoT, or offline-first application architectures where data residency and sync correctness are first-class concerns
  • Experience defining and operationalizing database SLAs in partnership with SRE teams
  • Exposure to enterprise customers in regulated industries such as retail, hospitality, logistics, or government
  • Prior experience at a startup scaling a data platform across enterprise customer segments
  • Experience working in remote, globally distributed teams
The Benefits of Building with Us

Benefits vary by region to make sure you're covered in the ways that matter most. Regardless of where you live, everyone at Ditto can utilize flexible time off. And while we work remotely, our Atlanta and San Francisco offices are open if you ever want a place to work or meet up with teammates.
Apply Anyway
At Ditto, we know game-changers don't always come wrapped in a "perfect" resume. Years of experience? Every single bullet point checked? Meh. That's not what drives us.
What does matter?
  • Grit.

  • And a genuine spark for what we're building.

So if you're fired up about our mission but not sure you tick every box - hit that apply button anyway. Use your application to show us how you'll make an impact here.
