Job description

Technical Program Manager-Integration Management Office

Locations: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office

The Technical Program Manager-Integration Management Office is responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more multi-year programs. Manages enterprise-wide programs of $7M-$10M+ size with multiple concurrent sub-projects or equal complexity. Responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.

In addition to all responsibilities of a project manager-which include managing all aspects of a project including initiating, planning, executing, closing, and controlling.

How you will make an Impact:

  • Coaching and mentoring project team members; mentoring other project managers around project management methodology.

  • Determining project scope; developing resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans.

  • Developing training plans, requirements documents, and project approval matrix.

  • Identify project team training and tool needs.

  • Define, recommend, and secure contractual agreements for technical services and products.

  • Coordinate requirements, scheduling implementation and post-implementation plans, and develop service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resource firms.

  • Define quality gates for each project methodology phase; defining critical success factors; and establishing and managing the project warranty period.

  • For M&A-related programs, additional responsibilities include partnering with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional business and technology teams to develop, validate, and continuously refine cost estimates, integration budgets, and synergy assumptions.

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and synergy realization, aligning technical program plans with financial models, and updating forecasts as integration activities evolve.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years of project management experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development, and/or building enterprise applications and/or data warehouse planning and development, with 3 years leading and directing project task(s); or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:

  • Experience with financial modeling, cost estimation, or accounting principles-particularly in support of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), integration planning, or synergy tracking-is strongly preferred.

  • Obtain project management certification within one year of job placement.

  • Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization.

  • Experience working with project management tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools.

  • Experience working with portfolio management applications and Rational tools strongly preferred.
