Monday-Wednesday 7pm-7:30am

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Assessment Clinician to join our team at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital!
As an Intake Assessment Clinician, you will play a crucial role in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. You will provide technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of A&R and offer general support to the case management program.
  • Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
  • Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
  • Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
  • Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
  • Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
  • Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
  • Make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
  • Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.

Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:
  • Education & Licensure: Graduate from an accredited nursing program; bachelor's degree preferred. Currently possess an RN license to practice in the state of Indiana.
  • Experience: Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam and working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field. Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of crisis intervention training including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Compensation:
