Job description

West Palm Beach law office is in need of a Paralegal to assist on contract basis. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment this is a great opportunity to support a fantastic team.  
Responsibilities:
Supports Attorney in representation of in cases in various areas of law. 
Performs legal research to promote success in litigation.
Conducts interviews with clients at the office.
Provide billing reports, statistics, and case reports for project funders.
Investigates and develops cases, including conducting necessary interviews. 
Drafts letters, memos, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents and written materials.
Maintains accurate and complete records and files regarding cases; keep appropriate billing
records.
Screen clients, engage in intake and make referrals.
Develops and maintains relationships with social service agencies.
Maintains confidentiality of all information handled.
Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
Experience:
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and case management abilities.
  • Excellent computer and word processing skills. Proficient in using MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel software.
  • Prior Legal Assistant/Paralegal experience
