Legal Assistant (Part-Time | Bilingual | Haitian Creole)

Personal Injury Law Firm

Hollywood, FL | Part-Time | $17–$22/hr | 25 Hours/Week

About the Role

We are a growing personal injury law firm looking for a motivated, bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position (25 hours/week) based locally in Hollywood, FL, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right person.

We welcome candidates who are new to the legal field — if you’re a fast learner, dependable, and eager to grow, we want to hear from you.

Language Requirement

This role requires 100% fluency in English PLUS fluency in Haitian Creole. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and your ability to communicate with them in their language makes a real difference.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients regarding case updates and documentation

• Answer calls and assist with client intake in English, Spanish, or Creole

• Open and maintain case files

• Request and organize medical records and billing statements

• Follow up with medical providers and insurance companies

• Prepare legal documents and correspondence

• Track deadlines and case activity

• Update case management software and maintain accurate notes

• Coordinate scheduling for attorneys and clients

• Assist attorneys and case managers with daily operations

• Handle administrative support tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Bilingual: English + Spanish or Haitian Creole required (100% fluency in all languages)

• Must be local to Hollywood, FL

• Personal injury experience is a plus but NOT required — we will train the right person

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable speaking with clients, medical offices, and insurance companies

• Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is helpful; legal software experience is a bonus
