Position Summary:
D&JS Psychiatry & Services is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Scheduler Coordinator to manage patient scheduling in the EMR, coordinate provider calendars, and ensure a smooth flow of daily operations. This role is essential in supporting both patients and clinical staff by maintaining efficient scheduling practices and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for psychiatric and mental health services
  • Coordinate provider calendars, including psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide accurate information regarding services
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment details
  • Collect patient copays and process payments in accordance with office policies
  • Send appointment reminders and follow up on missed appointments (no-shows)
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to optimize scheduling efficiency
