Job Description:

  • Beth Israel Lahey Health At Home

  • 40 Hours, Monday - Friday (9am-5:30pm).This position will be hybrid/remote following a training period in Woburn, MA.

What You’ll Do:

The Intake Associate works in a supportive role to the Intake department and other management personnel as assigned. This role assists in various administrative clerical functions and in the processing of demographics for EMR charts, active patient orders and communication with other departments regarding patient status changes/updates.

More Specifically:

  • Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers and patients.

  • Handle a variety of telephone calls from referral sources, patients, and MD offices.

  • Communicates with clinicians and staff on behalf of the Intake Department or other management personnel as assigned.

  • Coordinates projects and special events as needed.

  • Performs general office duties, such as faxing, copying, answering telephones, etc.

  • May perform receptionist duties as needed.

  • Train other Administrative Associates as needed.

  • Orients new staff to office equipment and procedures.

  • Participates on agency committees as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school graduate required; Associates degree in healthcare related field or business is preferred.

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a medical setting (MD office, Urgent Care) as a Medical Assistant or a Medical Secretary is strongly preferred.

  • Strong computer skills, with experience using Outlook and Excel, are required. Experience using EPIC is a plus.

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $26.92

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
