Position Overview
DB Insurance is seeking a driven, tech-savvy, and enthusiastic HR Generalist who thrives on building structure, streamlining processes, and creating an exceptional employee experience. This role is ideal for someone with experience implementing and optimizing HR systems such as ATS, LMS, and HRIS, who is also excited about the opportunity to help shape the culture of a growing organization. In addition to strengthening HR operations, you'll drive employee engagement, champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, and foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered. Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting job openings and screening candidates to onboarding new hires and J-1 interns, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout every stage of the hiring process.
  • Coordinate the setup and ongoing optimization of HR systems, including ATS, LMS, and HRIS, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Process accurate and timely payroll for multi-state employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Design and implement performance reviews on our Performance Management systems that empower employees and foster development
  • Administer employee benefits and offer expert guidance on benefits-related questions, helping employees make informed decisions
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and plan fun, inclusive events to nurture a positive, collaborative workplace culture
  • Ensure compliance with CA labor laws, while providing multi-state HR support across New York, Hawaii, Guam, and Arizona
  • Lead and contribute to DEI efforts, ensuring that all employees feel valued, heard, and included
  • Maintain accurate HR records and data for compliance, reporting, and strategic decision-making
  • Track key HR metrics and use them to inform reports and shape HR strategies that drive positive change
  • Provide expert HR support, helping employees navigate challenges and fostering a positive experience across the company

Qualifications:
  • HR Experience: 4+ years in an HR role with hands-on experience setting up, optimizing, and managing HR systems (ATS, HRIS). Proven background contributing to the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment. HR certification is a plus.
  • Labor Law & Compliance: Solid understanding of California labor laws with experience supporting multi-state operations. Experience with NY and HI labor laws is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in HR technology (ATS and HRIS platforms). Ability to type 55+ WPM.
  • Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who actively seeks opportunities to innovate, improve processes, and drive positive organizational change.
  • DEI Passion: A genuine commitment to building an inclusive workplace culture through meaningful DEI initiatives.
  • Bilingual Communication: Professional bilingual fluency in both Korean and English is required to communicate effectively with Headquarters.
