Overview
The Sales Director is a high-level position responsible for the sustainable generation of quality projects. The Sales Director will build ASG's business development structure and create a sales pipeline that will drive YoY growth. Establishing relationships with both existing and prospective customers is essential for the success of this role. This role will work closely with the President, Operations Director, & Project Management team. This role will report to the President, and will have a lasting impact on the overall success of ASG.

ASG Sales Model
ASG is building a project management team that is capable of estimating and running construction projects of any size. This team currently operates as a seller-doer model, with emphasis on execution rather than sales. The role of the Sales Director is to operate as outside sales, building relationships and maintaining close contact with current and potential customers. This includes territorial market analysis and sales strategy. The Sales Director may bring on dedicated Sales Engineers/Associates as required in order to meet organizational sales goals. Development of proposals demands close cooperation with mechanical contractor project managers and project executives and requires a high degree of technical capability and controls project experience.
Job Responsibilities
  • Spearheads BAS business development initiatives to support ASG's Sales Model and company's overall strategy, while staying aligned with ASG's Mission, Vision, & Values.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with ASG employees and leadership.
  • Foster and maintain long-term relationships with existing ASG customers, aiming for a 95% retention rate, to establish yourself as the trusted advisor for BAS control solutions.
  • Expand ASG's customer base and market share by 10% within the first year through development and management of strategic partnerships.
  • Grow the revenue generated by ASG's Service Group by 20 % within the first year.
  • Achieve bookings and gross margin goals.
  • Leverage industry expertise to develop estimates and proposals that incorporate optimal building technology solutions, addressing both the financial and technical requirements of the customer.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to effectively communicate customer needs.
  • Actively participates in sales meetings, workshops, and seminars to consistently enhance professional knowledge.
  • Maintain complete and accurate sales and sales activity logs in Salesforce.
  • Compile precise and comprehensive sales activity and forecast reports.
  • Positively influences ASG's culture, and provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the organization as a whole.
  • Assist with other Sales related tasks as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements
This position requires:
5+ years of direct sales experience
2+ years of construction industry experience
HVAC Controls industry experience is a huge plus
Technical Requirements
  • Experience in commercial HVAC sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of commercial HVAC systems, products, and services.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic sales plans
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in Salesforce CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
