Job description

We are seeking a hard-working and motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing team. The individual in this role will assist company growth and profitability through new customer acquisition, as well as by increasing current customer spend. This role requires personal drive, tireless persistence, and business strategy expertise.

Description            
  • Generate approximately $2.5+ million annually (specific yearly sales goals will vary from individual to individual)
  • Prepare a business development plan based on past performance and company growth objectives to meet and/or exceed planned revenue and activities goals for the business development team
  • Appointment scheduling, preparation, and presentation to clients
  • Establish accounts with adjusters, general adjusters, risk managers, facilities managers, property managers, end users, contractors, and/or insurance
  • Generation of new leads with the intention of creating more sales/revenue
  • Lead and post-sale follow-up to maintain positive customer relationships post-sale
  • Elicit continued and, ideally, increased spending with current customers
  • Work closely with the designated sales team to strategize more effective sales method
  • When appropriate, pitch business development ideas and strategies at boardroom level (and, in some cases, to our leadership team)
  • Attend promotion of assigned sponsored events, including trade-shows, golf tournaments, social events, luncheons, and any other assigned marketing functions, including afterhours
  • Complete annual marketing needs assessment, including planning the number of CE classes, lunch-and-learns, scheduling the budget, and developing action plans for business decisions
  • Develop marketing initiatives and budget to create an annual marketing plan
  • Document lead generation, activity, sales tracking and analysis thru CRM system
  • Representation on the All American Water Restoration emergency mitigation on-call management rotation

Requirements and Qualifications 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Motivation, perseverance, and determination qualities
  • A proven track record in strong presentation skills
  • The ability to close deals with clients, including cold leads
  • Experience in business-to-business sales at the corporate level preferred
  • An aptitude for research and analysis
  • Proficient in time management and personal organization
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; a background in business may be accepted
  • Insurance restoration experience is a must 
  • Knowledge of the field operations is vital
  • Insurance restoration programs such as Contractor Connection, DASH, MICA is a plus, but must being willing to learn quickly 
  • Afterhours work is mandatory for cultivating business relationships 
  • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record and background check
