ROLE IMPACT

As a Quoting Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting the employee benefits renewal and quoting process. You will gather information from clients and carriers, coordinate renewal activity, prepare RFPs, enter plans and rates into comparison tools, and support both existing and prospective clients. This role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with clients and insurance carriers while managing multiple deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in employee benefits, group insurance, insurance quoting, renewals, or a related insurance support role.

  • Working knowledge of the employee benefits renewal and quoting process.

  • Experience gathering and reviewing client and carrier information.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately work with benefit plans, rates, and supporting documentation.

  • Excellent organization, follow-up, time-management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple renewals, requests, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Comfortable communicating professionally with clients and insurance carriers.

  • Life & Health Insurance License required

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and review necessary information from clients and insurance carriers.

  • Prepare and send renewal correspondence to clients.

  • Download and/or request carrier renewal and claims information.

  • Prepare and distribute RFPs to insurance carriers.

  • Enter benefit plans and rates into quoting and comparison tools.

  • Support prospective and new clients with quoting needs.

  • Assist with preparation for and participation in mid-year client reviews.

  • Attend carrier meetings and trainings.

  • Track outstanding information and follow up with clients and carriers to keep renewals moving forward.

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Microsoft Excel

  • Employee benefits quoting and comparison tools

  • Carrier portals

  • CRM and/or client management systems

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Previous experience with an employee benefits brokerage, agency, or insurance carrier.

  • Hands-on experience preparing RFPs and coordinating carrier quotes.

  • Experience managing employee benefits renewals from initial information gathering through plan and rate comparisons.

  • Familiarity with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other group benefit products.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of renewal and quoting responsibilities.
