A global nonprofit that provides trusted biological materials for science and health, ATCC is hiring a remote Product Manager – Media & Reagents. This role is responsible for developing and executing product strategy for a portfolio of cell culture media, sera, supplements, reagents, and products supporting cell lines and specialty cell culture applications. Serving as the business owner for the portfolio, this position translates customer needs, market insights, and scientific trends into actionable product roadmaps, drives portfolio growth, and supports new product development aligned with ATCC's mission.

Seeking a Product Manager – Media & Reagents, ideally with a background in life sciences and experience supporting cell culture, biological products, reagents, or research applications.   • Portfolio Strategy & Roadmap Management: Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives and customer needs. Own and maintain a three-year product roadmap, defining product vision, value proposition, positioning, and growth priorities for assigned portfolios.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows, applications, and unmet needs. Translate customer insights into product requirements and roadmap priorities through analysis of market trends, customer feedback, competitive offerings, and industry developments.
  • Portfolio Performance & Growth: Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to maximize growth. Identify opportunities to expand existing products, applications, and market reach while supporting long-term portfolio health.
  • New Product Development: Lead cross-functional New Product Development (NPDI) initiatives and guide products through various stages of the product lifecycle. Collaborate across functions to align development activities with customer and business requirements.
  • Product Launch & Commercialization: Drive successful product launches through cross-functional coordination. Support commercialization efforts through product positioning, business case development, and launch planning.
  • Pricing & Competitive Strategy: Develop pricing strategies and evaluate competitive market dynamics. Use market and customer insights to strengthen product positioning and portfolio value.

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, or equivalent experience (Master's degree and 6 years, PhD and 3 years, or HS Diploma and 12 years).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product portfolios, balance strategic and commercial priorities, and influence cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Portfolio Management, Business Development, or related life science industry roles.
  • Experience with biological products, reagents, cell culture, microbiology, molecular biology, or reference materials.
  • Experience managing products through various stages of the product lifecycle and developing business cases, product requirements, or commercialization plans.
  • Strong understanding of life science research markets, customer applications, and scientific workflows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret scientific information and translate it into business strategy.
  • Preferred: Master's degree (MS) or MBA.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting cell culture media, sera, supplements, reagents, or specialty cell culture applications.
  • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional product development and commercialization initiatives in the life sciences industry.

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
