Job description

Product Development and Coverage Analysis Manager

Responsible for overseeing development and regulatory implementation of Medmarcโ€™s new product lines, primarily specialized E&S coverage offerings, such as excess and products/professional insurance policies. Works with Underwriting, Legal, and Marketing Departments to develop new insurance products.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee development of new insurance products: drafting coverage language, providing creative coverage solutions, strategic vision, and advising on growth.
  • Manage planning, drafting, implementation, and introduction of new and revised insurance products, leading inโ€‘house and outside counsel efforts.
  • Provide coverage analysis and consultation to Underwriting and accountโ€‘management: interpretation of coverage, market monitoring, competitor analysis, and endorsement language recommendation.
  • Develop and deliver educational content on Medmarc policy forms and coverage terms, including presentations, guides, and internal training.
  • Coordinate with Legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance, prepare supporting documentation, and respond to state insurance department questions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; strong preference for JD.
  • Minimum five years experience in casualty insurance, including insurance defense or coverage consultation at a law firm.
  • Desirable credentials: CPCU, AIC, or ARM.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing coverage language.
  • Proven selfโ€‘starter with strong relationshipโ€‘management skills across business units.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, marketing, and sales skills; strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Able to meet deadlines and manage desk tasks efficiently; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Up to 10% travel.
