Summary:

An Insurance Payment Poster accurately records, reconciles, and posts payments from insurance companies and patients into adentalbilling system. They interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms, apply adjustments, resolve discrepancies, and manage both electronic (ERA) and manual transactions, directly impacting the revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Posting: Accurately apply insurance payments, adjustments, and denials (EOB/ERA) to patient accounts.
- Reconciliation: Balance daily deposits, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and checks to ensure accuracy.
- Denial Management: Identify, document, and route claim denials or underpayments for follow-up.
-Data Entry: Enter patient payments and insurance reimbursements into the practice management system.
- Audit/Reporting: Review accounts for accuracy, verify electronic claim transmission, and report discrepancies to management.
