Job description

Do you enjoy solving puzzles, keeping things organized, and making sure every detail is right? Are you looking for a career where you'll learn from experienced professionals, work with teams across the business, and make an impact from day one?

If you're naturally curious, highly organized, and eager to build a career in financial services, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

As an Insurance Operations Analyst, you'll join Swiss Re's North America Business Operations team - a high-visibility team that keeps our business running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll help support the operational processes that enable our client teams to deliver solutions to some of the world's largest insurance companies while gaining exposure to a unique and sophisticated area of the financial services industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop strong analytical, operational, and business skills within a global organization.

About the Role

As an Insurance Operations Analyst, you'll play an important role in supporting the operational execution of our reinsurance business across North America. You'll work with colleagues across multiple functions to ensure data is accurate, business processes run efficiently, and new client transactions move smoothly from onboarding through execution.

You'll be trusted to manage important operational activities while continuously learning about our business and identifying ways to improve how we work.

What You'll Do

  • Support the onboarding of new business by ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Review, validate, and maintain operational data to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Monitor operational metrics and KPIs, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues when appropriate
  • Assist with governance, audit, and compliance activities by preparing documentation and supporting internal control processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and help simplify operational workflows
  • Partner with teams across Client Markets, Treaty Administration, Finance, Valuation, and other business areas to support the full business lifecycle
  • Provide responsive, professional support to internal stakeholders while delivering excellent service
  • Expand your knowledge through cross-training and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team

About the Team

The Business Operations team is the operational engine behind our North America business. While our client-facing teams focus on building relationships and growing the business, we ensure every transaction is executed accurately, efficiently, and with the highest standards of quality.

Our team works across departments, connecting people, processes, and data to help the business operate effectively. We value collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and a willingness to learn. Every member of the team plays a meaningful role, and everyone's ideas are welcomed.

If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and working with people who genuinely support one another, you'll feel right at home.

About You

You're someone who enjoys being organized, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. You learn quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and aren't afraid to take ownership of new responsibilities.

You're excited by the opportunity to build a long-term career in a global financial services organization and enjoy working in an environment where priorities can change and every day brings something new.

What You'll Bring

  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, administration, financial services, insurance, or a related field (internship experience also considered)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and validate data accurately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset and a desire to continuously improve processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice to Have

  • Experience or coursework related to insurance, reinsurance, or financial services
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, workflow tools, or operational systems
  • Exposure to audit, governance, or compliance activities
  • Experience working with large datasets or business reporting
