Job description

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an HR Operations Associate that can be located in our Raleigh, North Carolina, Newark, New Jersey, Naperville Illinois, or Rolling Meadows, Illinois location. This role will be tasked with providing operational support covering several HR functions including program administration, system administration, procedural documentation and workflows and financial accounting/analyses. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for administering and responding to inquiries for multiple areas of HR total rewards programs pertaining to payroll, benefits, onboarding & offboarding, and all HR systems. This includes general and Statistical Analysis reporting to internal management and external agencies. This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for administering all major HR operations while supporting the HR Business Partner, Recruiting and Training and Development team.
  • Collaborate with appropriate service owners and other key stakeholder contributing to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documented workflows.
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, job changes, transfers, and separations. Maintain accurate employee, organizational, and job data, ensuring high standards of data integrity. Monitor and audit HR data to identify compliance risks, errors, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as a Workday subject matter expert, troubleshooting user issues and identifying root causes of errors. Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR operational and Workday-related inquiries. Support semiannual Workday releases through regression and new functionality testing.
  • Onboarding/offboarding of all new hires to include system entry as well as communication to new hires and exiting employees.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR operational and Workday-related inquiries.
  • Support HR operations and leadership by delivering downloadable reports as needed and helping stakeholders navigate dashboards, locate specific transactions, and understand the data behind HR metrics.
  • Provide support on external queries and other employee reference requests. Prepares employment related letters upon third party or employee's request. Resolves any employees' queries, such as those related to issues like salary, labor regulations, company programs and benefits related questions.
  • Statistical Analysis reporting to internal management (employee demographics, skills inventory, absenteeism, overtime, employee turnover, staffing budget) and external agencies (e.g., government agencies, insurance companies, unions etc.)
  • Assists with Rewards and Recognition program implementation and administration (e.g. C.L.A.S, Giving Program, Silver, Gold and Retirement Awards, etc.)
  • Processes Payroll, administers, calculates and funds various benefits (401k, HSA, FSA, Profit Sharing, Rewards and Recognition programs). Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies. Prepares and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments. Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records and administer state and federal payroll and tax regulations. Reconciles benefits invoices for payment
  • Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:Must-Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous HRIS system experience
  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.
Preferred to Have:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree
  • HRIS system experience with Workday
Compensation:Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $55,000 - $77,670. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
