Job Description:

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Office Manager to join our elite team in Auburn, Alabama. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Competitive compensation package of minimum $61,000 – maximum $65,00.

Benefits include:

  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

  • Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate & input driver & staff payroll into system for processing, transmits payroll, verify paychecks, monitor overtime, ensures payroll procedures are always followed.
  • Provide support by responding to questions and concerns regarding payroll, personnel records, and employee profiles, to include answering telephone and company email correspondence.
  • Drive routes periodically.
  • Manage driver & staff payroll and leaves of absence, including employee FMLA & Workers Comp tracking.
  • Maintain personal data, confidentiality of sensitive employee information and records.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws (WO9).
  • Educate employees on benefits provided.
  • Prepares and submits all hourly employee HRIS profile and EAF employee change forms, to include new hire, hourly rate changes, and terminations.
  • Performs daily input and reconciliation of hourly employee vacation and sick leave accrual and usage.
  • Responsible for charters reconciliation.
  • Assist General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional punch hours.
  • Answer the phone/email and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Special administrative projects and additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral, verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees of all levels.
  • Problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to input data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy, to make difficult mathematical computations with and without mechanical assistance (ability to operate a calculator by touch).
  • Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • 90% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities. 10% of work is accomplished outdoors.
  • Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and repetitive hand- wrist-eye and finger motion, and extensive computer work. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Limited light lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
