Summary:

The Audiologist, Extern provides comprehensive diagnostic ENT and rehabilitative audiology services, in a clinical setting, to pediatric patients with hearing disorders, age birth to 21. The role emphasizes family-centered care, long-term management of hearing loss, and interdisciplinary coordination with ENT and speech-language pathology teams. Works closely with the child, family, and interdisciplinary teams, including school personnel to recommend and implement a plan which enhances a child’s functional hearing to facilitate learning and development.

Education and Experience

  • Current enrollment in fourth year of doctoral program in Audiology with an accredited university, with completed required coursework.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

  • State license or eligible for intern license in Audiology.

  • Current BLS required.
