Our Commercial Property department is seeking a property product analyst I - III. This individual will have expert knowledge of forms, rules, rates, and underwriting processing systems. They will lead enhancements and changes to products, ensuring alignment of priorities with the Commercial Lines strategy, solutions are cost-effective, and communication is consistent across appropriate teams within the organization. The individual leads the development and updates of technical guidelines, procedures, training, and communication material. Understands metrics used by LOB and Commercial Lines and adjusts products accordingly. Works and communicates effectively with cross functional resources, including underwriting, Sales, PARM, filings, IT, and specialist groups to ensure complex transactions, perils, and product direction are conducted consistently across the segments. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.
The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $140,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
  • understand price adequacy and rating structure. Assists with solutions to enhance effectiveness of net rate changes and profitability
  • aids on strategy to achieve profitable growth. May lead projects to analyze various areas of business and provide input on various aspects requiring change or remedial action
  • regular interaction with IT improving underwriting tools, ease of use, and driving product changes
  • demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to production including investigating solutions to improving aspects requiring change or remedial action
  • provide expert technical underwriting guidance to underwriting and Sales for complex inquiries and consultations. This includes risk evaluation, technical advice with respect to rules interpretation, appropriate forms, classifications, state filings, and pricing direction
  • acts as subject matter expert to develop and deliver technical underwriting presentations and training content
  • create and update procedures and guidelines within the Commercial Lines procedures manual as needed

Be equipped with:
  • strong knowledge of Commercial property product line of business, including all Cincinnati products, pricing, familiarity with competitor and ISO offerings
  • understands LOB and portfolio metrics, assists with evaluation and action on results (financial and operational)
  • good communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and can break down complexities in coverage to a non-expert
  • ability to interact with functional areas, including Commercial Lines underwriting, Sales, IT, PARM, and Loss Control

Bring education and experience from:
  • a bachelor's degree preferred
  • a minimum of 4 years of related experience preferred
  • CPCU or other insurance professional designation preferred
