About The Role

Data Processing Specialists are responsible for the data integrity and documentation of deposit accounts.  Data Processing Specialists perform maintenance on all deposit accounts and safe deposit boxes as requests are submitted by a location’s Personal Bankers. Imaged documents for these same modules are reviewed for accuracy as part of the 2nd day review process to ensure accurate and complete documentation as required by regulation.  Utilize tracking software to assist in monitoring of identified exceptions.  The job functions are:

Job Duties:

  • Understand and follow the standardized procedures and policies of the maintenance and second-day-review duties
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, department procedures and policies
  • Handle problem recognition, research, resolution and follow-up for routine inconsistencies between branch documents, system information and standardized procedures.
  • Document and retain daily work following the record retention requirements of the department.
  • Answer phone calls and provide customer service as needed
  • Complying with privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality and information protection
  • Complying with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and procedures
  • Completing and passing all required regulatory compliance training as assigned
  • Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned by management

About You

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrates initiative, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet our customer's needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including calculator, copy machine and telephone system.

Education, Experience & Licenses:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months previous banking experience, personal banking experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year experience computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

Work location: Guaranty Bank and Trust Operations in Pittsburg, TX. Must live within 30 minutes of the location listed below.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
