Job description

Position Summary

This position is ideal for someone with experience supporting commercial construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other project-based businesses. The role focuses on contract administration, insurance compliance, vendor onboarding, customer prequalification, and operational compliance. Working closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Safety, the Construction Compliance Manager helps ensure contractual, insurance, regulatory, and customer requirements are met across the organization.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys coordinating multiple construction projects simultaneously, working directly with project teams, solving compliance issues before they delay work or payment, and improving operational processes.

Role and ResponsibilitiesInsurance Administration
  • Manage OCIP/CCIP enrollments, reporting, and documentation requirements
  • Coordinate monthly payroll and hour reporting submissions
  • Maintain client-required insurance documentation and records
  • Administer and track workers' compensation claims and related documentation
  • Maintain insurance policies, endorsements, amendments, and schedules
  • Coordinate renewal applications and support insurance audits
  • Coordinate claim-related documentation and communications with carriers, brokers, adjusters, and internal stakeholders
COIs & Vendor Compliance
  • Manage all certificate of insurance (COI) requests, reviews, and compliance tracking
  • Maintain certificate of insurance (COI) records and compliance tracking within company systems
  • Review and manage vendor insurance, payment application, and lien waiver compliance requirements through company compliance platforms
  • Support compliance requirements for pay applications, rentals, and vendor onboarding
Vendor Onboarding & Controls
  • Oversee vendor onboarding compliance processes and documentation controls
  • Verify contract documentation and insurance compliance prior to payment processing
Contract Administration
  • Track agreements throughout the review, approval, execution, and renewal lifecycle
  • Manage contract execution processes, including follow-ups, DocuSign routing, and transmittals
  • Maintain contract repositories, version control, and document organization
  • Prepare regular status reports regarding contract, compliance, and vendor onboarding activities
Prequalification & Compliance Reporting
  • Manage customer prequalification submissions, including Highwire, BuildingConnected, and similar platforms
  • Coordinate WIP reporting, financial documentation, OSHA logs, EMR data, and backlog reporting
  • Maintain prequalification master files and supporting documentation
M/WBE & Diversity Programs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client M/WBE and diversity program requirements
  • Oversee project-specific diversity reporting through client-required platforms and systems
  • Support Operations in tracking and documenting Good Faith Efforts during procurement activities
Licensing & Corporate Compliance
  • Track entity and business license renewals and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate registered agent activities and corporate filings
  • Manage good standing certificates and related state filings
  • Maintain corporate records and compliance documentation
Operations Liaison
  • Serve as a primary liaison with Operations regarding compliance processes and requirements
  • Coordinate with Safety regarding policies, compliance initiatives, incident documentation, and reporting requirements
  • Support HR and administrative functions as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance, contract administration, and document management processes
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of legal and compliance workflows and systems
Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with insurance compliance, OCIP/CCIP administration, customer prequalification, vendor onboarding, lien waivers, and contract administration.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Administration, Risk Management, Legal Studies, or a related field. Equivalent experience supporting commercial construction or project-based organizations will also be considered.
