The Role

The Compliance Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer (CCRO), plays a critical role in supporting the bankโ€™s Compliance Management System (CMS) through execution of daily compliance functions and direct collaboration with business units. This position is responsible for conducting and/or overseeing compliance monitoring, coordinating regulatory change efforts, and serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for compliance-related matters. The Compliance Manager also plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing compliance practices related to deposit and branch operations and overall regulatory readiness. The role supports committee operations, audit preparation, policy maintenance, and ensures systems and procedures are compliant and updated to reflect regulatory expectations. This role also leads compliance integration and due diligence efforts for bank mergers, acquisitions, and system conversions, and supports the BSA Officer with daily BSA/AML functions as needed.

Compliance operates as a strategic business unit aimed at creating a competitive advantage for the bank relative to peer banks and challengers. The Compliance Manager must be familiar with and actively supportive of the companyโ€™s overall business plans and strategic goals, ensuring these objectives are achieved within regulatory frameworks and the bank's risk appetite.
