To thrive as a Remote Insurance Coder, you need a thorough understanding of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, usually backed by a relevant certification such as CPC or CCS. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, coding software, and claim submission platforms is essential. • Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and improve platform reliability and observability.
  • Establish and enforce DevOps best practices across the team.
  • Mentor engineers on infrastructure and deployment workflows.
Requirements
  • 3-7 years of DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with Azure (compute, networking, storage, IAM) and exposure to AWS.
  • Proficiency building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Strong experience writing and managing Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tooling
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 Type 2 and/or HITRUST compliance frameworks
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Comfort working across security, engineering, and operations functions
  • Familiarity with .NET Core and React/Typescript a plus

  • Dedicated work hours for training programs
Benefits:
  • Full health benefits offering, including life, long-term disability, dental, and vision
  • Generous PTO
  • 401(k) match
  • Sabbatical PTO available after 5 years

This is a full-time, permanent position based in downtown Indianapolis. The role is hybrid - four days in office, one day remote.
