For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.comPOSITION SCOPEThe Insurance Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring subcontractors, vendors, and service providers maintain insurance coverage that meets company, contractual, and project requirements. This role reviews insurance documentation, identifies deficiencies, communicates requirements, and works directly with subcontractors, vendors, insurance representatives, and internal teams to obtain compliant documentation, resolve outstanding issues, and support project and operational needs.The ideal candidate has a background in commercial insurance, a strong understanding of insurance requirements and coverages, and the ability to manage multiple compliance matters while working with both internal and external stakeholders.PRIMARY DUTIESReview Certificates of Insurance (COIs), endorsements, policies, and related insurance documentation for compliance with company and contractual requirements.Identify insurance deficiencies and communicate required corrections to subcontractors, vendors, insurance agents, and brokers.Work directly with subcontractors, vendors, and insurance representatives to obtain updated or missing insurance documentation.Review insurance requirements within contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements to verify compliance.Communicate company insurance requirements and respond to questions regarding compliance expectations.Follow up on outstanding compliance items and work with external parties to resolve deficiencies in a timely manner.Partner with Contracts, Operations, Project Teams, Accounts Payable, and other departments to support subcontractor and vendor compliance efforts.Assist with subcontractor and vendor onboarding by obtaining and reviewing required insurance documentation.Support audits, reporting requests, and other insurance compliance initiatives as needed.Maintain organized documentation and correspondence related to insurance compliance activities.Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS3+ years of experience in commercial insurance, insurance compliance, contractor compliance, certificate management, or a related insurance-focused role.Experience reviewing Certificates of Insurance (COIs), endorsements, and related insurance documentation.Working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, including General Liability, Automobile Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Umbrella/Excess Liability.Experience identifying insurance deficiencies and working directly with clients, subcontractors, vendors, insurance agents, or brokers to obtain compliant documentation.Understanding of contractual insurance requirements, including additional insured and waiver of subrogation requirements.Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review and interpret insurance documentation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSConstruction, heavy civil, industrial, or contractor compliance experience.Experience working with insurance compliance platforms such as TrustLayer or similar systems.Experience reviewing insurance requirements within contracts, subcontracts, or service agreements.Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.If you require an accommodation with applying, please email hrdept@fisherind.com or call the HR Department at (701) 456-9184 to request accommodations.
