Job description

Job Overview

Responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting of a portfolio of captive insurance companies, including single-parent and group captives, Protected Cell Companies (PCCs), and Risk Retention Groups (RRGs). Provides consulting support to clients regarding their captive insurance needs within the United States market. This role regularly interacts with senior-level professionals across a diverse client base and offers the opportunity to deliver tailored solutions to address unique client needs.

The position is based at our headquarters office in Puerto Rico and reports to the U.S. team in Vermont. The role requires regular interaction with U.S.-based clients and close collaboration with colleagues across the U.S. market.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare feasibility studies for prospective captive insurance clients.
  • Support leadership in developing strategies to enhance engagement within the existing client base.
  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting for assigned client accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives, including professionals in risk management, corporate accounting, tax, legal, and other functional areas.
  • Establish and enhance client service processes to ensure the quality and timeliness of financial reporting and regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate efforts with external service providers, including actuaries, auditors, investment managers, brokers, claims adjusters, and outside counsel, to proactively meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to optimize the performance of their captive insurance companies and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Prepare and present materials for client board meetings.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience, direct captive management experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and general ledger/financial accounting software.
  • CPA, MBA or other relevant professional certification or advanced degree.
  • Advanced English proficiencyrequired, as the role involves regular interaction with English-speaking clients.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to the U.S. for business-related purposes.
