Barre Gardens for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Barre, VT. This role supports resident comfort and facility cleanliness by ensuring linens and personal clothing are properly washed, handled, and distributed throughout the facility.
Position Overview
The Laundry Assistant is responsible for assisting with daily laundry operations, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring residents receive clean linens and clothing in a timely and organized manner.
Responsibilities
  • Place soiled facility and resident linens into washing machines following proper laundry procedures
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Fold or hang clean resident personal linens and clothing
  • Transport and distribute clean linens to resident rooms in a timely manner
  • Hang clothing in closets and place personal items neatly in drawers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
  • Follow facility infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with additional housekeeping or laundry tasks as needed
