We are looking for a Technical Services Engineer for our Deland, FL office!

Summary: This role is ideal for professionals with progressive engineering experience, capable of handling complex assignments with minimal supervision. The Technical Services Engineer will lead technical projects, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and contribute to innovative solutions in their field.

Essential Duties:

• Lead technical coordination for complex project conditions, including non-standard applications and custom interface solutions.

• Perform detailed structural, thermal, and weatherability evaluations to meet project and code-specific performance criteria.

• Prepare and review project-specific documentation, including stamped calculations and detailed drawings.

• Interpret and apply complex code provisions and certification standards for high-performance designs.

• Provide mentorship and quality oversight for junior engineers, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency.

• Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.

• Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities - Aligned to ASCE Guidelines:

• Lead engineering design, analysis, and problem-solving for complex projects.

• Develop and review technical reports, drawings, and documentation.

• Manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

• Conduct site visits, inspections, and evaluations as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or another relevant engineering discipline.

• 3+ years of professional Civil or Structural engineering experience.

• Engineer in Training (EIT) required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in engineering software and tools.

• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

• PE license strongly preferred.

• Highly preferred: Background in construction/structural engineering.

Other Skills and Requirements:

• Experience managing projects or engineering tasks independently.

• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.

• Knowledge of project management principles and best practices.

Cognitive & Communication Demands: Requires sustained mental focus, problem-solving, and analytical skills, along with effective verbal and written communication when collaborating with teams or presenting findings.
