Job Title: DA Clinical Instructor
Department: Health Occupations
Reports To: Dental Assisting Faculty
Job Classification: Non-Exempt, Part Time
Location: Marshalltown Community College
Rate of Pay: $35.00 per hour
Schedule: Less than 19 hours a week
Summary: The purpose of this position is to teach and evaluate student skills in the dental laboratory as well as clinical setting.
Job Duties:
  • By utilizing a curriculum, deliver lab instructions of various dental procedures. Perform instruction on clinical duties including, but not limited to equipment preparation, sterilization, patient preparation, procedures, instruments, radiographs, assisting the dentist, patient education, and laboratory duties, etc.
  • Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned. ​

Education and Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a full-time dental role in a dental office. Certified Dental Assistant Certificate required.
