One of Evoxa’s primary areas of focus is developing engaging online learning experiences for K–12 students. These learning experiences are intended to help students think more creatively, explore new ideas, strengthen problem-solving skills, and approach learning with greater curiosity and confidence.

K–12 education is one of several areas Evoxa is actively pursuing. The organization is also developing other products, projects, and long-term goals outside of this educational initiative.

Evoxa is seeking a K–12 E-Learning Instructional Design Intern to help plan, create, review, and improve educational content for its online learning project.

This learning-focused internship is intended for people interested in K–12 education, e-learning, curriculum development, creative learning, or instructional design. Interns will receive guidance, feedback, and supervised project opportunities based on their abilities, interests, and professional development goals.

Internship Overview

Interns will help transform educational topics and source materials into clear, age-appropriate, creative, and engaging digital learning experiences.

The goal is to develop learning experiences that encourage K–12 students to think creatively, ask meaningful questions, explore different ideas, solve problems, and become more active participants in their education.

Assignments may include developing course outlines, organizing lessons, writing learning objectives, creating activities and assessments, reviewing educational content, and improving the learner experience.

Interns may also use artificial intelligence and digital tools to support research, brainstorming, drafting, editing, content organization, and quality assurance.

Previous instructional design experience is not required. Responsibilities will be assigned at an appropriate level, with opportunities to develop new skills and gradually take on more advanced projects.

Potential Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with the development of online learning experiences for K–12 students.
• Creating educational resources that encourage creativity, curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
• Researching educational topics and organizing information into lessons and learning modules.
• Adapting content for specific grade levels, age groups, learning abilities, and educational settings.
• Helping create lessons that allow students to explore ideas and approach problems in different ways.
• Writing measurable learning objectives and course outcomes.
• Creating lesson plans, scripts, storyboards, presentations, and instructional materials.
• Developing creative projects, quizzes, knowledge checks, assignments, activities, and assessments.
• Aligning lessons, activities, and assessments with learning objectives.
• Reviewing content for clarity, accuracy, consistency, grammar, age appropriateness, creativity, and student engagement.
• Converting documents, presentations, videos, and other materials into structured online learning content.
• Researching K–12 standards, creative teaching approaches, educational technology, and online learning practices.
• Using AI-assisted tools for research, brainstorming, drafting, editing, and content organization.
• Testing lessons from the student’s perspective and documenting recommended improvements.
• Identifying opportunities to make lessons more creative, interactive, understandable, and engaging.
• Helping make learning materials accessible to students with different learning needs.
• Assisting with course uploads, updates, and organization within an e-learning platform or learning management system.
• Participating in virtual meetings, project discussions, demonstrations, and content reviews.
• Collaborating with team members and applying feedback.
• Following expectations regarding confidentiality, copyright, student privacy, data security, and responsible AI use.

Responsibilities may vary based on the intern’s interests, experience, availability, and assigned projects.

Preferred Qualifications

All qualifications are preferred and not required:

• Interest in K–12 education, instructional design, curriculum development, educational technology, creative learning, or e-learning.
• Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, childcare, student-teaching, or classroom experience.
• Experience creating lessons, presentations, worksheets, training materials, or educational activities.
• Familiarity with K–12 standards or age-appropriate instructional practices.
• Interest in helping students become more creative, curious, confident, and engaged learners.
• The ability to develop creative activities and explain ideas in interesting and understandable ways.
• Clear writing, grammar, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• The ability to organize and explain information clearly.
• Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Slides, Microsoft Word, or PowerPoint.
• Experience with Canva or other visual content-creation tools.
• Familiarity with learning management systems or online learning platforms.
• Exposure to Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, iSpring, or similar platforms.
• Experience with ChatGPT, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or other generative AI platforms.
• Interest in using artificial intelligence responsibly in education.
• Basic familiarity with digital accessibility principles.
• Creativity, attention to detail, organization, dependability, and openness to feedback.
• The ability to meet deadlines and collaborate in a remote environment.

Applicants do not need experience with every tool or method listed above. Applicants without a professional instructional design background, portfolio, or previous internship experience may still be considered.

• Learn about accessibility, copyright, student privacy, confidentiality, and data security.
• Develop work samples that may be discussed professionally, subject to Evoxa’s confidentiality and intellectual-property requirements.

Work Environment and Expectations

This is a remote internship. Interns are expected to:

• Communicate regularly with their assigned supervisor or team.
• Attend required virtual meetings.
• Complete agreed-upon learning activities and project assignments.
• Follow instructions and meet established deadlines.
• Communicate promptly about questions, challenges, or scheduling conflicts.
• Be receptive to feedback and willing to revise their work.
• Protect confidential organizational, project, and educational information.
• Use organizational systems, learning materials, and AI tools responsibly.
• Follow applicable content-development, security, privacy, and documentation procedures.
