OverviewMedical Behavioral Hospital of Indianapolis is currently searching for a Plant Operations Manager for our psychiatric hospital in Greenwood, IN. The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects associated with the plant operations of the facility. Oversees the maintenance, housekeeping and the staff assigned to these departments. This position will direct the plant operations, maintenance, repair, mechanical systems and equipment for the facility. Oversees all aspects of the Safety Program and Environment of Care for the facility. Responsibility includes hands on with assisting with repairs as needed.

This is a hands-on position requiring direct involvement in maintenance and repairs.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in EOC/LS, preferably in a hospital setting, with some supervisory or team leadership experience.
Must have knowledge of an ability to perform drywall repairs, light plumbing, and light electrical work.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, typically acquired through technical high school education or additional technical training. Construction experience is a plus.
Valid driver's license verified upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Handle with Care (HWC) required and obtained during orientation.
