Inside Sales Manager
Metal USA has an immediate opening for an Insides Sales Manager for the Mobile, AL facility. The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Account Executives.
  • Develops and executes strategic business plan with a specific marketing and sales plan to drive growth in revenue and profitability.
  • Coaches and develops team of sales account executives
  • Prepares and coordinates individual and team action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Conducts one-on-one performance review evaluations with all Account Executives.
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by account executives.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Assists account executives with proposals and presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Ensures that all account executives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
  • Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Maintains consistent communications with all clients within the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the essential functions of a Sales Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and customer service management
  • Minimium 3 years of experience in steel service sales
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or relevant course of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, accountable organization.
  • Ability to communicate both oral & written effectively with internal & external customers.
  • Strong understanding of customer requirements and market dynamics
  • Ability to respond effectively to time-sensitive and problematic & precarious inquiries and complaints.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and generate valid & concise conclusions.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Represents the management in a highly professional manner, exercises diplomacy and maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Proven leadership and the ability to motivate sales teams
  • Computer Literacy; Microsoft Office Products and ERP.
  • Candidate must pass pre-employment drug screening.
