Job description

FT Inserter-$1,500 Hiring bonus

The Rapid City Journal is seeking a dependable full-time packaging inserter to work evenings in an industrial environment.

Duties include: 

  • operating inserting machine
  • feeding pre-prints into insert machine hoppers
  • verifying counts of papers
  • labeling and topping of bundles
  • bundling and shipping papers and pre-prints
  • operate a hydraulic pallet jack and powered strapping equipment
  • clean the work area as needed
  • other duties as assigned including janitorial duties

Schedule:

  • Monday - 1pm to 10pm
  • Tuesday 8am - 2pm
  • Wednesday - 1pm to 10pm
  • Thursday 8am - 2pm
  • Friday - 1pm - 11pm
  • Saturday – may be requested to work 7am to noon. 

The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, demonstrate a positive attendance record, and have the ability to work rotating evenings, nights, and weekends.
