Job description

SCOPE OF WORK
The Instructional Designer develops learning experiences and materials that lead to transfer and application of new skills and knowledge. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, presenting, and assessing learning opportunities and programming for all Gaylor employees.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Works with Education Team and subject matter experts to provide and facilitate the planning and administration of educational projects and tasks as designated by leadership groups

  • Participates in Gaylor sponsored and community events
  • Strong administrative, organization, and communication skills
  • Organizes and prioritizes workload to meet deadlines
  • Organizes and maintains schedules, agendas, and travel arrangements
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information
  • Maintains appropriate records, files, documentation
  • Must be computer literate and able to process documents in Microsoft Suite in addition to quickly learning Gaylor's operating software

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and revamp both new and established learning materials
  • Identify the appropriate learning approach
  • Maintain industry standards and research innovations in learning design and education
  • Implement feedback from program reviews and course evaluations
  • Evaluate new learning materials
  • Train others on how to deliver learning material
  • Assist with maintenance of the learning management system
  • Train all employees on how to use the learning management system
  • Become a subject matter expert on various operating software, as needed, in order to facilitate training to all employees
  • Create educational podcasts, videos, presentations, and e-learning content
  • Prepare and present learning materials to target audience(s), in person and virtually

EDUCATION
  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent professional experience

EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience with training and/or education
  • Experience with Docebo, Autodesk, and/or experience in a construction company.
