POSITION SUMMARY


As, your responsibilities will include training new employees for their roles, establishing performance requirements for the tracking team that align with customer specifications and meeting with your team to ensure that they are performing at the level expected to move forward to other areas of the operations. Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operations. This a working team lead role. Must be willing to operate forklift.


2nd SHIFT 3:00PM TO MIDNIGHT


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Manage, coordinate, direct, lead and mentor all operations employees during their probationary period. This includes, but is not limited to WMS, all Operations processes, the phone system, all tracking programs .
  • Work directly with the operations management team to establish performance expectations for the Tracking team. Manage daily workflow to ensure that all members of the Tracking team are working & communicating with the Ops team efficiently.
  • Plan and implement evolving training processes, based on ever-changing Operations procedures, performance expectations & technology updates.
  • Conduct performance reviews, including probationary period reviews. Make adjustments to workload and conduct one-on-one training to ensure employees are improving and meeting performance expectations.
  • Provide performance feedback to both the management team and to employees. Establish hiring needs based on employee performance and operation’s needs.
  • Manage, maintain, and implement customer tracking expectations.
  • Provide first day orientation to all new hires.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Forklift experience

OTHER SIGNIFICANT JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Decision making abilities based on progress of new hires.
  • Ability to help Operations with daily duties, when not training
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Stay focused in a busy, loud environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Transportation related fields

REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.): :

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is essential
  • Ability to work in a safety sensitive environment at the plant and yard operations
  • Ability to communicate with many levels of personnel – internal and external customers
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and work positively to improve our operation
  • Ability to handle constructive criticism positively
  • Ability to resolve conflict and problems diplomatically

PREFERRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.):

  • Bilingual
