About Venture Associate - Waltham, MA
We are hiring a (Senior) Venture Associate who is passionate about biotech company building, operating, and investing. Venture Associates at 82VS will be exposed to all aspects of new company building, including science, therapeutic discovery and development, strategy, financing, operations, and legal. Principal Responsibilities
  • Two year program after which the expectation is that the associate would move into a portfolio company they have been supporting or started within 82VS
  • Venture Studios team member supporting company building and due diligence across 2-3 NewCos
  • Lead deep dives into an area of interest for the Venture Studios team, ideally culminating in an investment or company build recommendation
  • Support current portfolio companies and pipeline projects with operations, strategy, and technical projects
  • Conduct diligence on competitive landscape, unmet clinical need, biological validation, and other key areas to assess feasibility of new company creation/development

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • PhD, MD with 2+ years of venture, consulting, investing, or operational experience in a VC- backed company in the fields of biosciences, drug discovery, or similar
  • Experience with antibody, multispecific, or genetic medicine platforms preferred
  • Ability to efficiently digest, synthesize, and communicate scientific and medical concepts
  • Experience using AI models to support diligence and automate repetitive workflows
  • Eager to propose, structure, and advance new projects independently
  • Significant passion for developing new therapies for patients
  • Team player who is collaborative and resourceful in building new companies
  • An ability to build a strong network of founders, investors, academics, and KOLs in the therapeutics space

Pay Transparency
At Alloy Therapeutics, we believe in fostering trust and open communication. For this role, the estimated annual base salary range is $120,000-$150,000, with the final offer based on factors like your experience, skills, alignment with our needs, and the level of the position (Associate or Senior Associate).
