Furthermore, you will represent both lenders and borrowers in high-value financing transactions, including senior, mezzanine, and construction loans. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of asset classes, including industrial, multi-family, life sciences, office, retail, and hospitality. You will also manage significant components of acquisitions and dispositions, overseeing due diligence, title and survey review, and closing mechanics. This position requires a strategic thinker capable of navigating the nuances of the capital stack and providing commercially astute advice to sophisticated clients.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic record (Law Review or Journals preferred).
  • Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC, or the ability to waive in promptly.
  • 3 to 6 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate law, specifically within a top-tier law firm environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Real Estate Finance (debt and equity) and Joint Venture formation.
  • Experience handling transactions across diverse asset classes such as Industrial, Hospitality, and Multi-family.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with complex cross-border transactions or portfolio acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with REIT structures and tax-driven real estate vehicles.
  • Proven ability to manage junior associates and paralegals on deal teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple high-stakes closings simultaneously.
  • A "deal sheet" demonstrating significant responsibility on transactions valued in excess of $50M.
