We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Product Trainer to support a territory of automotive dealerships by delivering engaging product training, coaching sales consultants, and improving overall dealership performance. In this role, you'll become the go-to expert on vehicle features, competitive insights, and sales-readiness-empowering dealership teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
This is a high-impact, travel-based training role perfect for someone who loves the automotive industry, excels at presenting and coaching, and enjoys building strong dealership relationships.
What You'll Do
Deliver Engaging Product Training
  • Conduct in-dealership training sessions that meet established performance standards.
  • Train sales consultants on vehicle features, technology, trim differences, trailering, light-duty truck fundamentals, and infotainment systems.
  • Facilitate both small group sessions and large meetings with energy, clarity, and credibility.

Coach Sales Consultants to Improve Performance
  • Provide hands-on coaching to help sales teams present product benefits, demonstrate features, and build customer confidence.
  • Observe sales interactions and offer actionable feedback that enhances sales readiness and product knowledge.

Manage Territory Training Needs
  • Develop and maintain a training schedule that aligns with dealership needs and regional priorities.
  • Collaborate with regional personnel to understand performance goals and focus areas.
  • Maintain flexibility to support urgent requests, special assignments, or dealership events.

Support Product Launches & Special Initiatives
  • Facilitate launch events and introduce new product features and technologies.
  • Deliver competitive overviews and ongoing product study to ensure training is always up-to-date.

Operational Excellence
  • Submit schedules, training rosters, activity reports, and expense reports accurately and on time.
  • Represent the training organization with professionalism and strong communication.

What Makes You a Great Fit
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of automotive retail or automotive-related experience.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle technology, light truck fundamentals, trailering, and infotainment systems.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and general computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Logistics & Working Conditions
  • 80% travel within assigned territory.
  • Training delivered at dealership locations, regional meetings, and special events.
  • Home-office based.
  • Must reside within assigned territory.
