BB&E is an employee-owned, full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors..

Position Summary

BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Innovation Project Manager to support AFCEC/CFDI Special Programs Division(SPD) at Tyndall AFB, FL.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead large, complex disaster recovery projects, including the rebuilding of Tyndall AFB
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and practices to improve disaster resilience and enhance the Air Force's "Installation of the Future" concept
  • Provide project management support for each innovative capability being initiated, deployed, and sustained at Tyndall AFB
  • Support AFWERX Challenges, innovation forums, meetings, and working groups, demonstrations, briefings, and other related events
  • Analyze experimental designs and provide recommendations concerning adoption of these designs and audit the performance of new technologies
  • Evaluate cost, performance, applicability of methods, development of initial methodologies and life cycle cost analysis

Requirements

Key Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship and theability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Software: Proficiency using MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and portable document format (PDF)
  • Self-Starter and Team Player: Highly motivated, with the ability to perform at a high level of quality with minimal supervision; ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team of individuals to meet the needs of our clients
Experience & Education
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience of directly applicable work experience
    • Direct experience with AFCEC/CFSD (military, civilian, Contractor including A&AS and Title II)
  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
  • Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs
