Job description

Moog is a performance culture that empowers people to achieve great things. Our people enjoy solving interesting technical challenges in a culture where everyone trusts each other to do the right thing. For you, working with us can mean deeper job satisfaction, better rewards, and a great quality of life inside and outside of work.

Job Title:

AI Program Manager

Reporting To:

Chief Information Officer

Work Schedule:

Hybrid - Buffalo, NY

Moog's Global IT function is seeking an AI Program Manager!

As the AI Program Manager, you will own prioritization discipline, portfolio governance, and delivery rigor across the AI Enablement Center's full body of work. You will translate steering committee-approved strategy and investment thresholds into an executable roadmap, sequence initiatives against capacity, track delivery, and report performance and ROI back to governance. Excellence in execution is the top priority for this role!

To qualify for the AI Program Manager role, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Over eight (8) years of program or portfolio management experience, ideally within technology, digital transformation, or innovation functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive prioritization discipline in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.

  • Strong executive reporting and synthesis skills, with comfortability in presenting portfolio status to senior governance bodies.

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification preferred.

  • Comfortable operating within a strategic governance structure set by others, rather than setting strategy independently.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML delivery patterns is a plus; execution discipline matters more than deep technical AI depth in this role

  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area, or be willing to relocate, to work onsite.

As the AI Program Manager, you will...

  • Translate the steering committee-approved strategy, investment thresholds, and portfolio allocation into an executable AEC roadmap and operating cadence.

  • Own intake, prioritization, and sequencing of AEC-supported initiatives across all three AI model types (M1 / M2 / M3).

  • Run the AEC's portfolio governance rhythm: status reporting, risk/issue tracking, resource allocation, and stage-gate reviews.

  • Own enterprise AI performance & ROI monitoring, consolidating results across operating groups for steering committee reporting.

  • Maintain a rolling two-to-three-year roadmap view that informs, but does not replace, the steering committee's strategic planning process.

  • Identify and escalate cross-group conflicts, duplicated initiatives, or resourcing constraints before they become blockers.

  • Partner with Operating Group leads to confirm local use case prioritization aligns with enterprise portfolio guardrails.

  • Maintain a lightweight, consistent intake and governance process that operating groups experience as an accelerant, not a bottleneck.

How we care for you:

  • Financial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities, matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts

  • Work/Life Balance: Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program.

  • Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan ("EAP") and other supplemental benefit coverages.

  • Professional Skills Development: Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs

  • Culture: Warm, respectful, family-like environment driven by our 12 core values. Multiple Employee Resource Groups led by our employees, open and welcoming to all.
