Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting individual and joint sessions with families and couples, focusing on their unique challenges and dynamics.
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address various issues such as alcohol abuse, grief and loss, and interpersonal conflicts.
  • Developing customized treatment plans based on the clinical needs of your clients, tracking progress, and making necessary adjustments to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Providing crisis intervention when necessary and developing strategies to help clients manage acute emotional distress.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and community resources to provide comprehensive support for families facing complicated social and psychological issues.
  • Maintaining detailed and timely documentation of all clinical interactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participating in regular team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and stay aligned with organizational goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with a diverse population that includes adults, children, and adolescents facing a range of issues both individually and as families. Whether addressing conflicts among family members, facilitating communication, or supporting adjustments to separation and divorce, you will provide critical support to help your clients navigate challenging life circumstances.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality care and a demonstrated ability to form strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experience will be considered an asset:
