Job Description Title: Process Technician (Tier I, II & III) Comp: $23.50-$34.00/hour + Overtime + Profit Sharing Location: Edinburgh, IN Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying candidates for multiple direct hire Process Technician openings on 2nd and 3rd shift. Responsibilities: Tier I - Entry Level Learn injection molding machine operation, setup, and processing fundamentals Assist with mold changes, machine startups, shutdowns, and purging between production runs Support senior Process Technicians while developing processing knowledge Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting under supervision Learn tooling, automation, and production processes Follow safe operating procedures and manufacturing standards Tier II - Process Technician Independently perform mold changes, machine setups, startups, and shutdowns Troubleshoot molding presses and maintain stable production processes Interface directly with injection molding machines beyond basic operation Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs Support robotics and automation equipment including setup and position adjustments Maintain production efficiency while minimizing downtime and scrap Tier III - Senior Process Technician Serve as the highest level of technical support before engineering involvement Diagnose complex processing and machine issues while determining root causes Optimize molding processes to improve quality, cycle time, and efficiency Conduct new mold trials, process development, and production sampling Support Engineering with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization Analyze machine parameters, alarms, and processing data to improve performance Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior technicians Required Skills (Must Have): Hands-on plastic injection molding processing experience Experience performing mold changes, machine startups, and shutdowns Mechanical troubleshooting experience with basic electrical troubleshooting skills Understanding of the complete injection molding process from pellet to finished part Knowledge of mold tooling, cooling systems, air systems, and tooling components Basic understanding of machine and robot sequencing Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift schedules Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with Engel or Krauss Maffei injection molding machines SAPRO robot experience Linear robotics setup, programming, and positioning Advanced process optimization and troubleshooting experience Rubber injection molding experience DOE (Design of Experiments) exposure MATLAB experience Process improvement and continuous improvement experience Experience installing specialized tooling including stack molds and knockout systems #ID9515
