About the Opportunity
ProStaffing is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established plastics manufacturer seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Engineer.
This position offers the opportunity to lead process development, improve manufacturing performance, and support new product launches within a modern injection molding operation. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, tooling, and engineering teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do
- Develop, validate, and optimize injection molding processes.
- Troubleshoot molding defects and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Improve cycle times, process capability, productivity, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Support new product introductions and process validations.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Tooling, and Production to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Develop and maintain standardized process documentation.
- Implement statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven process improvements.
- Support preventive maintenance initiatives that improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
- Assist with equipment, tooling, and process qualifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Must have 5+ years of injection molding process engineering experience.
- Strong plastics processing knowledge.
- Experience with process optimization and scientific molding principles.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with SPC, process capability, and quality systems.
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
