Strategically located just outside the Atlanta Metro area (Austell), the company has evolved from a niche market provider to an industry leader with state-of-the-art technologies for manufacturing. We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Process Technician to join our 3rd Shift Team as a hands-on member of our injection molding team. 3rd Shift Hours are Sunday PM - Friday AM from 11:00pm - 7:30am.


Position Summary

The Injection Molding Process Technician will work with minimal supervision in an injection molding environment. The basic tasks include:

· Installing and removing molds while using a crane.

· Trouble Shoot Mold and Processes for optimal quality, productivity and mold safety.

· Use established Processing methods such as Scientific Molding or RJG Technology.

· Make water lines, do color and material changes.

· Maintain molds by performing basic daily P.M.’s.

· Assist Injection Molding Process Engineers with mold trials and trouble shooting.

· Drive a fork truck as needed.



Requirements:

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

· Inside working conditions.

· Limited travel for mold trials. Will need reliable transportation.

· Must be able to walk or stand 100% of the shift.

· Ability to squat/kneel frequently and reach up/down 100% of the shift. Requires full range of motion to frequently bend at waist and twist the torso. Limited lifting up to 50 pounds

· Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

· Visual Acuity: Close viewing in order to read labels at close distance.


Essential Skills & Personal Qualities

· Knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary mandatory.

· 2+ years of injection molding processing experience required.

· Perform tasks accurately and efficiently with excellent attention-to-detail is a must.

· Work independently without direct supervision and handle multiple projects and tasks.

· Keep a positive attitude; be respectful to coworkers, customers and managers.

· Ideally but not mandatory: use a PC and MS Office software (e.g. add codes to Excel, update and print Word)
