About the Opportunity
ProStaffing is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established plastics manufacturer seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Engineer.
This position offers the opportunity to lead process development, improve manufacturing performance, and support new product launches within a modern injection molding operation. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, tooling, and engineering teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, validate, and optimize injection molding processes.
  • Troubleshoot molding defects and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Improve cycle times, process capability, productivity, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support new product introductions and process validations.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Tooling, and Production to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Develop and maintain standardized process documentation.
  • Implement statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven process improvements.
  • Support preventive maintenance initiatives that improve equipment reliability.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with equipment, tooling, and process qualifications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Must have 5+ years of injection molding process engineering experience.
  • Strong plastics processing knowledge.
  • Experience with process optimization and scientific molding principles.
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with SPC, process capability, and quality systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
