Job description

Senior Injection Molding ProcessorRole Summary

The Senior Injection Molding Processor is responsible for optimizing and maintaining injection molding processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and minimal downtime. This role is highly hands-on and focuses on troubleshooting, process improvement, and supporting production teams on the floor.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes ownership of machine performance and process stability.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Shift Supervisor and collaborates with production teams and associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, and optimize injection molding machines and processes
  • Monitor machine performance and make real-time process adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot molding, tooling, and material issues to minimize downtime
  • Support mold changes, startups, and process validation
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of machines and tooling
  • Work closely with operators to ensure production targets and quality standards are met
  • Maintain accurate production and process documentation
  • Assist in training and guiding operators on best practices and process standards
  • Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe production environment
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrap
  • Support production leadership and serve as a technical lead on the floor when needed
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in injection molding processes and tooling

  • Ability to operate and maintain assembly and production equipment

  • Effective leadership and supervision of the hourly workforce

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Experience & Knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics injection molding
  • Strong understanding of production equipment and mold-setting processes
  • Working knowledge of resins and materials used in manufacturing
Additional Note
  • Capable of serving as backup Section Supervisor when required
