JOB TITLE: Injection Molding Operator

DEPARTMENT: Injection Molding Operation

REPORTS TO: IMO Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The main responsibilities of the Injection Molding Operator is to perform all manufacturing tasks in the injection molding area following established procedures which includes documentation and guidelines. Inspecting injection molding product to ensure quality standards and specifications are consistently met. Must adhere to all safety guidelines. Follow all instructions and willing to learn new manufacturing technics. Positive attitude and good attendance is a must. Must be able to train new employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job functions include but are not limited to the following

Documentation

Open and close work orders

Data Entry

Knowledge of IMI product

Identify common Injection molding defects

Provide solutions to profit and quality gaps

On the job training of new employees

Requirements

REQUIRED

1. High School diploma or equivalent

2. Knowledge of document management and database operations.

3. Must be able to read, write, and speak English language and be understood.

4. Must have basic organizational, communication, time management skills

5. Must be basic and accurate in the use of computer software programs and accessing information from the company computer system

6. Basic math skills

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

10. Medical Device product and/or market knowledge

11. Work experience with a medical device manufacturer

12. Injection Molding knowledge


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must possess excellent communication. Must be alert, able to concentrate, and use good judgment. Majority of the time spent standing and walking. Occasional bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting. Moderate physical effort required equivalent to lifting 25 or moving up to 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Will work in a normally acceptable production floor or warehouse with no abnormal hazards or risks. May be subject to changes in temperature and exposure to dust.
