Position Overview
ProStaffing is conducting a search for an experienced Injection Molding Operations Lead/Supervisor to join an established manufacturing operation. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands injection molding processes, equipment changeovers, quality requirements, and preventive maintenance while also having the ability to develop and lead a production team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping the department operating safely, efficiently, and according to established production and quality standards.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Production & Process Leadership
  1. Oversee day-to-day activities within the assigned injection molding area.
  2. Coordinate employees, equipment, tooling, and production priorities to support scheduled manufacturing requirements.
  3. Ensure finished products are produced in accordance with established quality specifications and process requirements.
  4. Perform and/or coordinate tooling and equipment changes needed for different product configurations.
  5. Maintain a strong understanding of the molding process and the responsibilities of each team member within the operation.
Team Supervision & Development
  1. Provide daily direction and leadership to production employees.
  2. Assign and coordinate work based on production needs and priorities.
  3. Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  4. Train and develop team members to strengthen technical capabilities, productivity, and overall department performance.
  5. Maintain effective communication between production employees, management, and supporting departments.
Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
  1. Identify equipment or machine concerns and ensure repair needs are communicated promptly.
  2. Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
  3. Work closely with maintenance personnel to address mechanical or process-related issues affecting production.
  4. Help ensure equipment is properly prepared and available to meet manufacturing requirements.
Safety, Quality & Workplace Standards
  1. Promote compliance with company safety procedures and applicable workplace safety requirements.
  2. Maintain strong housekeeping and workplace organization standards, including 5S practices.
  3. Reinforce quality expectations throughout the production process and address issues when standards are not being achieved.
Production Coordination
  1. Maintain close communication with production planning regarding schedules, priorities, equipment availability, and potential production constraints.
  2. Help identify and resolve issues that could affect production schedules, quality, or departmental performance.
What We're Looking For
Candidates should bring 3–5 years of injection molding experience along with a solid working knowledge of injection molding processes and quality requirements.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
