About the Opportunity

An established plaintiff-side litigation practice is seeking a highly experienced Trial Attorney to lead significant personal injury, medical malpractice, and dangerous condition of public property matters. The organization has invested heavily in expanding its litigation capabilities and provides substantial infrastructure, staffing, technology, and litigation support for complex trial work.

This position is designed for a true trial lawyer who is comfortable taking cases through verdict and who values ownership, advocacy, and courtroom excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex plaintiff-side litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • First-chair jury trials through verdict
  • Conduct all phases of discovery
  • Take and defend fact and expert depositions
  • Develop case themes and trial strategy
  • Conduct focus groups and pre-trial evaluations
  • Draft and argue motions
  • Prepare witnesses and experts for testimony
  • Evaluate settlement opportunities and negotiate resolutions
  • Handle dangerous condition of public property matters
  • Work closely with litigation staff, paralegals, and support personnel
  • Maintain a litigation caseload of approximately 20–25 active matters

Candidate Profile

  • The ideal candidate is a courtroom-tested attorney with substantial trial experience and a strong plaintiff-side litigation background.
  • Required qualifications include:
  • Strong personal injury litigation experience
  • At least 5 first-chair jury trials to verdict
  • Extensive discovery and deposition experience
  • California Bar license in good standing

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranging from $200,000–$250,000 DOE
  • Participation in attorney fees on qualifying managed matters
